This is me and my assistance dog Lexi prior to her retirement to live the life of a pet. My story goes back 7 years to when I had a brain haemorrhage followed by two neuro surgeries and later eye surgery. I’m getting better every day and I could not have survived without the support of Lexi. It is my personal belief we to have more of these dogs funded in New Zealand as it allows people like myself to have a quality of life, which is what everyone deserves.
